Hi everyone! We have lived here in the Nelson area for the past 3 decades and love everything about it! We have raised 3 children here and have lived in the countryside for 10 years and now in town for 20 years! Whew….time flies! We enjoy all of the outdoor activities that the area offers all year round. In the summer we love to go hiking, canoeing/kayaking, floating down the Slocan River on tubes, and fishing in our old boat (though we rarely catch anything! Hah). In the winter we love ski touring, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and xcountry skiing. (Pretty much anything involving playing on the snow!) We love music and all of the festivals and markets that happen in this area. Most of all, we love the community that is SO strong here in the area and the way that people live and work together in a supportive and joyful way. We are happy to welcome others to experience all that Nelson is!

Driving Directions
Victoria Falls House Vacation Suites situated in the heart of downtown Nelson. A small but robust mountain town located in the beautiful southwestern region of the province of British Columbia, Canada.
From Spokane, Wa, (Us border) and Alberta via Kootenay Pass
From the #3 Hwy you will come to the town of Salmo where you will turn north on the #6 highway and travel for 30 minutes until you reach Nelson.
Coming into Nelson you will come to traffic lights where the highway intersects Baker Street.
- Take a right here onto our main downtown street, Baker Street.
- The next right-hand turn is Falls Street, turn right onto this street.
- We are the first house on your left-hand side.
From the West (Vancouver and West Kootenay Regional Airport in Castlegar)
Coming from Vancouver or the Airport in Castlegar you will take the #3A Hwy from Castlegar to Nelson (approximately 25 minutes).
Coming into Nelson you will come to traffic lights where the highway intersects Baker Street.
- Take a right here onto our main downtown street, Baker Street.
- The next right-hand turn is Falls Street, turn right onto this street.
- We are the first house on your left-hand side.
From the North
When you drive down from Kaslo or come off of the Kootenay Lake Ferry at Balfour you will be heading south on the # 3A highway. It is an approx. 30 min. drive from Balfour to Nelson.
Coming into Nelson you will come across a big, orange bridge and you will just carry on with this hwy road as it winds its way through Nelson (always following the signs for Castlegar and Vancouver) until you come to traffic lights where the highway intersects Baker Street.
- Take a left onto our main downtown street, Baker Street.
- The next right-hand turn is Falls Street, turn right onto this street.
- We are the first house on your left-hand side.
